Weather forecasts so inaccurate
Discussion
Just looking at the I newspaper, so not the Express. “Weekend weather expected to be fine and and warm”. Lie. How do they get it so wrong , when it seemed a year or two ago that they were improving.? Writing from West Lancashire but it’s been similar generally cool and with a chilly wind ,confirmed by speaking to the rest of the family in Sevenoaks and Edinburgh. We have only felt the heat on our backs about twice so far this year. We can’t entirely blame journalistic sensationalism as the media have a limited number of sources.
The breeze did drop the skin temp considerably yesterday, but out of the breeze, it was nice., about 16/17 degrees at the best.
Saw a lady walking along the prom yesterday her thighs and shins were bright red with burn, the other side of her legs were white like lard. Looked painful to be fair.

I was in Sevenoaks this afternoon and it was T-Shirt weather, possibly the warmest day this year.
Yep, Surrey here, took the dogs for a walk around 10:00, a bit chilly so jumper, jeans and Rab down jacket, got back at midday I was sweating.Changed to shorts, kept the jumper on, went to my sister's in West Sussex for lunch, we ate outside, got back about 19:00, I've clearly caught the sun!
Regarding general weather forecasts, I always take them with a huge pinch of salt, I believe its actually very hard to predict the weather in the UK in general.

They can get it pretty good about a day ahead after that best ignored. Global warming though they are great at that 100 years ahead.
TX.
TX.

Tell you what, though, Nick F on Netweather is pretty good for highlighting which areas of the UK are likely to get thunderstorms when he issues his Storm Forecasts.
