I watched the show yesterday, and spent most of it wondering where I had seen the 'Bobby' actor previously.
Had to look it up on Wikipedia. Of course, he was this chap:

Overall it was a much better production than the Miss Marple version ITV had previously done, although I suspect this version had a much healthier budget and an extra hour to tell the story.
A few more jokes than the usual Christie adaptation as well.

I Googled "alvis speed 20 special why didn't they ask evans" and the same reg car appears as a picture:
