Started last night, with further episodes tonight and tomorrow night at 9pm. All episodes are currently available on ITV / STV Player.

Last night's episode was OK but I wonder if there will be any reference to Gazza, KFC and a fishing rod.

I watched it and was hoping for more tbh, and then found myself wondering what the point of it is. Probably won't watch the next episodes.

Unless Gazza appears obviously.

I understand Gascoigne is referred to, but is not portrayed.

I would only watch to see who's playing gazza. I guess he could hit the bottle bigger time if he is made to look silly so maybe he's not in it.
TBH the whole story is like the british version or First Blood

I watched the 1st episode last night and enjoyed it. Was surprised to find out that Raoul Moat has a following of supporters. Just shows what social media rumours can do.

Watched it last night (in between being interrupted by Mrs Steve for a number of highly important things) as it’s only a few miles away plus used to have a caravan in Rothbury plus did 30 yrs with NP so know some of those involved.

I found it interesting and well put together, looking forward to episodes 2 and 3, hopefully without the important commentary going on…….

He has been in my local co-op a couple of times.

It just shows what having an IQ in single figures can do. The man was a prick.

Of whom do we speak. Moat or Gascoigne?

Both of them? About right.

Interesting article by Ray Mears in the DT online today. The police called upon him to help them track down Moat in the forest. Mears reckoned he got very close but the police powers that be called off the search and Moat’s body was discovered not far from where Mears had led them to.

I remember the story bringing the mentalists out at the time. On the day of the funeral loads of his unemployed disciples turned up including one toothless hag being interviewed for tv news. She’d travelled hundreds of miles with her two kids just to be there. For the funeral of a vicious murdering psycho who she’d only heard of for the first time about two weeks prior!

Funny what you remember, but I remember her interview.

Travelled up from Portsmouth I recall. Sat there, with her 2 kids, telling the press what a hero she thought he was.

Sadly, there are some people who's only possible contribution to society would be as organ harvest.

At the time of the event, Gazza turned up at Rothbury during the standoff and got interviewed live on the radio whilst he was pissed - ROFL,

Also, reports in the press that he was saying last night on 'Scared of the Dark' that he'd had to go for a pull after meeting Margaret Thatcher?

Killers and gangsters given a great profile in the media never fail to bring out the idiot in people.

See: the Kray twins. My idiot mother in law in Dagenham has a framed photo of them in her kitchen.

He was basically in a rage because his missus went off with another guy, I wonder why that was! So he stalked them, shot them and then shot a copper who took his own life due to being blinded by the cretin.

making a tv show about people like this shows how far tv companies will slump to get viewers, it is offensive to me sorry.

Watched the whole series and enjoyed it, very well done I thought.

I read the thing with Ray Mears as well - having now watched the series, I'm a bit confused by the bit about Moat's body being 'discovered' as the TV show as well as YouTube vids from the time show the police in a standoff with Moat before he then kills himself, so I don't quite get how his body was 'discovered' if there were plenty of people who probably saw him pull the trigger.

I don’t know whether it is just badly worded or an inaccurate report.

Maybe ‘body’ should be…. Mears was leading them to where he was eventually sighted and found.

He was located (I believe a reported suspicious sighting… wasn’t he in some sort of drainage tunnel) and then a long stand off from there.

Hmmmm yeah probably right. The way it was made out just had me thinking "couldn't the countless police involved with the standoff just tell Mears and his team they were staring right at Moat".
