This on iplayer, we watched it last night, really really good. Although I admit to having a soft spot for Dundee and Dundonians, this was an eye opener for me, showing the shortfallings of the unions, the Timex management, the police etc... I lived in Dundee at the time and this all passed me by, incredible.

I remember that advert! I am going to watch this NOW as I worked in Dundee for a while at Veeder Root.

I remember working with a guy who worked for Timex and Veeder-Root, he boasted about
skiving, thieving and initiating pointless go-slows and walk-outs, he never saw
the significance of these actions.

He still didn't get it even went the factory closed and production moved to a country
where workers appreciated working for a good employer.

Dundee has always been a militant city, they have lost loads work through union interference.
