Identifying a tv program

Having seen another 'identifying' post reminded me of a black and white film/programme on tv that I remember from when I was a kid - probably 50 years go! It featured a girl at a petrol station. I think seen to remember any speech was foreign - possibly French. I realise this is a massive long shot, but I'm quite confident that the PH Massive will have as good an idea as anyone else!

This description reminded me of a BBC 2 test programme. One of several broadcast before the channel aired.

Was the petrol station on a very quiet road in the countryside?

Iirc, very little happened.
