James Holland and Mike Simpson's documentary Normandy 44, D-Day and the Battle for France is being shown in 3 parts on PBS America.
Managed to record Ep 1 last night, spotted it by accident.
Ep 1 Repeated on Sunday 15 Oct at 08:40 and 18:35 PBS America
Ep 2 on at 20:40 tonight Oct 12, again same channel. Presumably also Sunday week after.
Ep 3 same time, Friday Oct 13.

I also recommend the series. (Having bought it on Amazon Video) It is somewhat low budget but manages to get in depth on the subject and cover the whole Normandy campaign rather than just D-Day as most other mainstream documentaries do.
The D-Day museum on Portland that features in the film is well worth a visit if you are in the area - perhaps when also visiting the Tank Museum.
