Watched last night, and it's another very well made BBC drama. Gritty and great performances.
This sort of thing should be shown in schools as a crime deterent.

Late to this thread having started one myself last night but we've just got round to watching the second season of this Jimmy McGovern BBC drama. Remarkable television, remarkable performances. Give it a go. As someone suggested, I'm thinking of showing this season to my classes in school.
