The previous thread seems to have been zapped; continued levels of moronic incomprehension on display, everyone wants to shaft the economy by stopping oil, even the tory bloke. Baffling, in future everyone's soylent blue be made from furrin imported oil and gas and that won't wreck the environment at all because it's outside the environment. wobble Angry welsh person wants to drive at 30mph and be able to get a dentist's appointment. Chris Bryant is in love with the sound of his own voice. PC woman wants devolution of seabed licencing, a pretty bland and reasonable request, she's not going to progress in british politics with this attitude.

I dare say, but this thread is about QT and the odd people the BBC select to appear on it. Did you watch? Perhaps you could comment?

The oil were drilling is sold on international markets. We import 'furrin' (sic) oil.

Yes. The stuff from the North Sea employs well paid people who all pay tax and the revenues are also tax. The furrin stuff not so much.
