I do not follow any what you might call influencers.

Mark Felton has some great war stuff on his channel I follow, very well researched.

Passats de Canto has an amazing rally channel and they have got a deal with the Spanish broadcaster of the time to allow them to show all their rally reports without comms which is amazing, and very good quailty.

But most people I follow are simply folk I have found who have footage I watch time and again, either old stuff or self filmed.

The are series I follow like IMSA, WEC, The Race which has some good live races on it.

Am I unusual? I don’t go on YouTube. I don’t click on YouTube links, here or anywhere else. I scroll past video results in Google. I want well-written, articulate, coherent written information

I'd say you're probably missing out on well written, coherent spoken information on many subjects that you're interested in, if I want to know more about something I'll often use the search function giving me access to a wealth of expert opinion and explanations.

In the summer I had to hang a gate, a heavy oak one it was 50kg+ each side I didn't now where to start YT showed me how to do it.

I wouldn't say unusual as that wouldn't be fair, but your viewing experience will be much more limited.

For obvious reasons no TV channel is going to review a 1200bhp Audi R8 doing 200mph down the Autobahn or round the Nurburgring. You will also struggle to find a holiday program on Belgrade, Sarajevo or Phnom Penh.

What if you wanted a guide to the best micro brewies in Eastern Europe, or a beginners guide to visiting Japan?

The downside is not every video will be from a high quality content creator using professional equipment, and you will come across some generally bad videos.

Dont have access to YouTube ? How come, surely if you have internet access you have the capability to get onto YouTube or is it via work and locked down ?

I watch more YT than actual TV, just grabbed my whole list, more than I thought, dont watch every video from every channel.

I think its impact is massive, broadcast TV had like 18 hours a day to cover all bases, now you have access to infinite videos from knowledgeable people on every subject you could possibly imagine, its fantastic.
