Looking at the trailer, this could go either way. It could be brilliant, but it could also be awful......

As you say, could go either way. Rally cars snapping around a couple of feet from each other seems a little unusual for stage rallying, but without knowing the rest of the context it might be OK.

It may have been the short special stages they used to run in stadiums or arenas so plenty can see. Didn't they used to run them two at a time side by side? I may be confusing it with some celebrity thing.
Try this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ER_nwY9ADBQ
It may just be for the trailer but I don't get why they are racing together on the road, Beta Monte Carlo's displayed as 'the new 037' and why @1.11 does it look like a re-creation of Toivonen and Cresto's crash?

I did wonder if it was something like the Race of Champions, which is why they might get away with it. But it did seem to be a tarmac road on the side of a hill rather than RoC which I think was an indoor event, at least the video I saw of it was. Can't tell from a couple of seconds of footage.

We should all know by now, that the actual historical events are never good enough for these film makers.
Either make stuff up or manipulate the actual events.
( Nobody won’t notice).
Inspired by or based upon a true story... things that didn’t actually happen have been added for entertainment purposes only.

There have been some really good motorsport documentaries/films of late, so I will keep an open mind.
Equally there has been some howlers, particularly Mr. Lamborghini which was nothing short of dire.
One film/documentary, I’d like to see made.
Shattering the Glass Ceiling at 14,119 Feet: Michèle Mouton & Her Record Run at Pike’s Peak

I watched this a couple of nights ago, it's comically bad. It's so ridiculously one sided it must have been funded as a PR piece for Lancia. The acting and script are awful, the action sequences are laughable as they are going so slow to ensure they don't damage the cars. This is made to look even worse as they cut in some genuine footage from 1983. Probably the worst motorsport movie I've watched.
Watched it last week and was really dissapointed. It's not even interesting because we don't learn anything, the action is boring, cars are slow, not impressive, noise is the biggest deception, no pops and bangs, no deafening exhaust or inboard cams. No drama, feeling so incomplete..
What a waste of money (for me and the producers).
