Great theme music.

The rest is a pile of old nonsense.

Great film. Favourite bit is the fight on the cable car roof.

Clint Eastwood on reading the original script: "let him (Burton) do the talking, I'll do the shooting"

Cracking film, remembered from childhood and yet still great now!
Shame about the adverts every few minutes.

Great music AND a great film (unlike Where Eagles Dare).

Although there are lots of technical and historical inaccuracies in "The Dambusters".

A film I will watch at least once a year!

Aswell as the obvious quote. My favourite is when Smith meets the girls in the coal shed and describes Ingrid's role with "and what a disguise" just superbly of the time!

Everything about it is brilliant. I did read somewhere many years ago how many Nazi's Clint shoots. I'm surprised there were any left afterwards!

Visitng the castle is on my list of things to do.

Speaking of the castle.
Mark Felton has done a YouTube video about it, I think it's near the Austrian Border.

One of those films that no matter how many times you've seen it you will always watch it again. As a lad I was fascinated by those bundles of dynamite with the trip wires and delay timer, I thought they were so cool.

A brilliant old fashioned caper of a war film - the budget must have been massive by the standards of the day.

And it must be said, great cinematography

Great film, love Burton's character like many came to it as a child at Christmas many moons ago still as fresh to me as it ever was, watched a really good YT Q&A interview with Derren Nesbit who played Major Von Hapen, he ended up in hospital after one of the scenes, talks about Liz Taylor turning up and sorting of dinner one night and Burton being drunk all the time.

Great film. This is an interesting interview (sound quality not so good) with Derren Nesbitt who played SS Major Von Hapen regarding the filming. Burton on 4 bottles of Vodka a day! Him on a day rate so the longer it took the more he got paid!

Still one of my favourite films.
Remember going to see it in the cinema with my Dad in the early 70's....before it was ever shown on TV......would love to see it on a big screen in a cinema again.

Cracking McLean suspense storyline, cracking scenery, and cracking music score. Yes, its far fetched but its a McLean story that just happens to be set in WW2, rather than being a 'traditional' WW2 film.

I've driven past the Castle, 31 years to the month after they filmed it, when travelling from Salzburg airport to Saalbach for a skiing holiday one year, its very clearly visible from the main road.
