Has anyone else been watching this? We didn’t expect much but it’s actually been quite good and Tinie has presented it well.

Last night’s were both nice.

Been watching since it started a few weeks ago, thought it would have already been on here. It's pretty good and interesting. Some of the build costs are staggering, like the bloke who done nearly £100K on a green wall and also nearly £50k for someone to put up some wonky white painted MDF panels on his fireplace.
Last nights episode, the North London house did end up looking stunning with the stone arches but for what they spent they could have had a villa in Tuscuny!

I have been watching this series.

Last nights was particularly interesting! What was with the big Victorian house? A classic example of more money than sense!

Does anyone know what the car was that Tinie turned up in at the end? It looked like some sort of Cadillac giant SUV

I wasn't really paying attention to the car, but I thought it could be a Maybach.

Didn't really get the point of the big house. It was already far bigger than they needed, and they just made it worse.

As our own project gets into the 2nd fix stage the unfinished project in the last episode has got me up early today. 3 contractors in, almost certainly needing to more than doubling the budget from £600k to £1 million+ (I would be amazed if they could do it for less than £1.2m), and living in a ruined existing house that will remain a building site till the building works are done frown.

I remember the quote Kevin says in the other Channel 4 TV home series more than a few times

'Houses can destroy you'

I really like Tinies approach to the program, but even his ridiculous fashion and over sized cars cannot detract from the real reality of destroying your family home in pursuit of architectural 'design', frankly you have to be mad to build something extraordinary different from existing housing stock in the UK, totally and utterly off the rails mad smile.
