Hi,

Appleogies for the new thread. I did search through the main film and "what are you watching" posts but it was hard to really pick out what I am looking for.

My Mum and her Partner are visiting next week. Both late 60s but a good laugh and easy going.

Requirements

Movie or TV show
Short - say, around 2 hours. Definitely none which are 3 hours
Easy watching is critical - the sort you can drift off and not lose anything

Optional

Funny - not required but welcome as it fits into the above

Examples

Recently watched Beverley Hills Cop 1/2/3 and although it's not a cinematic masterpiece it was just fun and easy to follow

Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

All the Bons films are on Amazon prime. Go full Partridge: in order please

and speaking of Partridge, Alpha Pappa is good fun. The Cornetto trilogy is worth a watch
For daft fun, Airplane and the first sequel is fun.

Or go back to what you watched as a teen: Waynes World? Jurassic park?? The Jim Carey film is s a decent collection of films

And my favorite: Apollo 13

The 2005 remake of The Producers (It's still Mel Brooks, he remade his own film)

I told my children how hilarious that was. so we watched it together and there was the occasional brief titter.

Ditto Austin Powers movies and Fawlty Towers, but less tittering.

I am sure they used to be hilarious.

Fine for all ages. As long as you see the beginning and end and parts of the middle then you know the whole story.

My Mrs would hate those two films. I wouldn’t say Guy Ritchie had an easy going film making style.
