The Substance

My God! Not the ending I expected at all nor the sort I film I’d expect from Demi Moore.

If you’re a practical effects/80s horror fan: you won’t be disappointed.

Really enjoyed it, excellent movie!!

I think this goes straight in at number 1 as the weirdest film I've seen.

Mental would be an appropriate description

Yea saw this the other week, excellent - it could almost be called 'The Stuff.' You will enjoy it if you like Re-animator, From Beyond, David Cronenbergy things, Videodrome, Society etc.

The final act of the film I genuinely didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Saw it in the cinema a few weeks ago, absolutely loved it. The casting was perfect with Demi as the aging star and Margaret Qualley as the impossibly perfect other. The cinematography and overall production was brilliant too, the whole film is like a bizarre fever dream that really sells the isolation of Moore's character in her luxury Beverly Hills condo.

Yep. Agree with everything already posted. Plus lots of boobs!!

Making of.

All hail practical effects, prosthetics, barrels of fake blood and the director getting properly stuck in.

Very late to the party but I just happened to stumble upon the film on iPlayer.Pretty damn good and shocking in equal measures.

Yeah - very good film. Quite the message!

Not heard of it previously. Superb visuals too - lots of Kubrick-esque type stuff going on.

I saw this the other day. Its rare for a mainstream hollywood film to show tits and bums. They have always been ok with gross violence and dismemberment but nudity,no thanks.
I thought that the sort of people that do tv keep fit stuff are more comfortable with someone older like themselves to follow like jane fonda.
Obviously it was far fetched but entertaining.

Watched this last night on iPlayer, crikey, sticks with you doesn't it.

Loved it.
