Maybe, though the trailer does make it look a bit like a "Not Going Out" Christmas special.

Watched this yesterday.

If you were considering watching it, save yourself the 80 or so minutes it lasts, and don't bother.

I like both Lee Mack and Chris McCausland, but this low budget Home Alone parody didn't do either of them any favours. None of the other actors stood out particularly either, including the "baddies" who didn't seem very bad. What little action there was, seemed to be shot in very low light/the dark so you could hardly see what was going on.

Reviews on IMDB average at 5.7/10, but significant numbers rate it as a 9 or 10, and perhaps even more rate it as a 1 or 2.

I'd give it a 4 at best, but clearly there are people out there that do like it.

IMDB ratings spread:

Like one of the posters above, we gave it 10 minutes, decided it was dire and switched off.

Watched it yesterday. Went in with very low expectations, especially as the advert didn't look particularly great. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting but was pretty poor.

Aside from the usual dimes during the summer whilst pretending it's Christmas, Lee Mack's character claimed to have lived there for many years dispite all the new build houses looking about 18months old at best.

Well to buck the trend, we watched this today and both enjoyed it, but perhaps we’re both easily pleased. Will watch this again next Christmas.

Another set who binned it off quite early on. Neighbourhood watch meeting or thereabouts.

I enjoyed it. Brain out festive fun. Got a bit home alone though but still funny smile

Late to the party with this one - it was pretty dire and more holes in the plot than swiss cheese.

Needed more of the devine Sarah Alexander yum

Yeah, we wanted to like this but it was pretty weak.

We didn't bother.

Love both Mack and McCausland. But the trailer made it look like a poor attempt at Deck The Halls with Matthew Broderick and Danny De Vito.

This thread hasn't persuaded me otherwise!
