Found ourselves four episodes in with this yesterday with two to watch.

Keira Knightley, Ben Whishaw, Sarah Lancashire and a 633 BMW.

Helen embarks on a passionate affair with a man who has no idea what her secret identity is. Caught in the crosshairs when her lover falls victim to the dangerous London underworld, Helen's employer's call in Sam to protect her.

Violent, funny and quite watchable. smile

Yeah, very watchable. Kinda like a more violent version of Love Actually.

I saw a review that said if tarentino directed love actually...

I am undecided if that is something I want to see tbh

Thought this was going to be a spy drama but morphed into Black Comedy. Not sure about it really.

Binged this over the past couple of evenings. Amusing enough premise and as only a few episodes it is easily got through.

Not convinced by Ben Whishaw as a ruthless hitman as he comes across a bit 'weedy' rather than menacing/psycho/etc.

I watched it all and still can't make my mind up whether I liked it or not. It definitely had a good cast but the plot at times just got ridiculous. A definite curate's egg.

Definitely enjoyed watching pro assassins bombing around an empty London in conspicuous classic cars and parking them right outside the US Embassy whilst they go in and cause mayhem. Struggled with suspending the old disbelief a bit too much there...

There's definitely a 'lock stock' influence in there as well.

You do have to suspend your rational thinking a lot of the time with the plot, but it's been fun to watch, we've got the final episode left to watch.

How much would a mint 40 year old BMW stick out in central London when you're trying to keep a low profile though?

Not watched this yet but a friend said it was unwatchable due to pointless sex scenes.

I might give it a go.

Haha brilliant we should get this covered as the soundtrack -

I feel it in my fists,
I feel it in my blows.
Violence is all around me,
And so the chaos grows.

It's written in the screams,
It's everywhere I tread.
So if you crave destruction,
Come join the river red.

You know I thrive on carnage,
I always will.
My bloodlust’s burning,
The need to kill.

There's no mercy,
There'll be no peace.
'Cause in this madness,
The rage won't cease.

You gave your terror to me,
I sent it back tenfold.
I need chaos beside me,
As the fury takes hold.

You know I thrive on carnage,
I always will.
My bloodlust’s burning,
The need to kill.

There's no mercy,
There'll be no peace.
'Cause in this madness,
(We won’t find release) no release.

It's written in the screams,
It's everywhere I tread.
So if you crave destruction,
Come join the river red.

Come join the river red.
So if you crave the storm,
(You know I need it!)
Come and take it on.
If you crave the fury,
(You know I need it!)
Come and take it on.
If you crave the ruin,
Come and bring it strong!

Good Lord! laugh

One bumming in episode one, and that was a quickie up against the wall.

The OH and I have one episode left.

It's good - not what I expected.

It's like Spooks meets Lock-stock.

The assassin characters are good, as is 'Lenny' who is like a little female Bricktop hehe

Plot holes a plenty but good fun.

Was that it?

If it was necessary for the plot then fair enough but the way it was described to me (from a person who normally shows a reasonable perspective) was that it didn't add anything so why have it at all?

You could say the majority of sex scenes in most TV and films hardly add anything to the plot.

But to say that (very brief) scene made the series 'unwatchable' is laughable. smile

4 episodes in, and I think it's pretty good and a cut above the usual Netflix Originals.

Plus all the main characters are played by Brits. They normally shoehorn an American in there just so that our Atlantic cousins will watch it biggrin

A fun Christmas watch - lots of holes and not realistic, but better for it in the stylised presentation - looking forward to another series.
