There be spoilers ahead!

Brief synopsis - Mr Beast of Youtube fame takes 1000 people and puts them through a number of challenges / tasks with the last person standing winning $5m

Anyone started watching this? I put it on over the break with nothing else to watch.... the kids loved it and I was very pleasantly surprised by it.

Despite being a stupid game show full of Americans it very quickly became a pyscological study of how people react when you put them in big groups and make them think they are relying on each other. Some of the decisions individuals were making were odd.

The game where they put 4 of them as 'captains' and offered them upto a million dollars... not to leave the game but to take the money and continue in the game but at the cost of sacrificing their own 'team' who they'd only been put with a few hours earlier - and not one of them took it. They're in a gameshow where they HAVE to beat every other competitor to win.

Maybe my morals aren't as strong biggrin

I've watched some of this and I would have taken that $1m without any second thought to the rest of my "team".

There are some ridiculous decisions being made!

Just watched this with the gf, and we both agreed it would only work in America where the idea of “the dream/fame” works.

In the UK everyone one us is taking the 1m and saying cya.

Really enjoying it though

Watched the first 3 so far with my son who is a Mr Beast fan. he pointed out loads of contestants that are constantly on Mr Beasts youtube videos. Two of them i think were captains that could have taken the $1m to eliminate their team. Seems at least partially fixed.

Myself and the OH were saying exactly the same.

While I admired their loyalty I simultaneously want them to leave with nothing for their stupidity.
