8 part Sky Docu/drama in Italian with subtitles
Difficult to follow at times with the subtitles and with the part of Mussolini talking to camera but I learnt a lot assuming it was factually correct.
just didn't end where I expected it to.

That was, IIRC, in the opening sequence of E1. No, the final scene is still in Parliament. Thought we'd see it through to his end along with his cohorts, wife, lover etc. Instead it just left it hanging.........maybe there's a second series ;-)

Anyone recommend a book on him?

I'm only halfway through Episode 2 but I'm enjoying it. It's a very stylish but hectic production. Blink and you've missed something!

I'm on episode 3 and enjoying it. Very impressive production, and certainly not done on a meagre budget.

Yes, Mussolini should have learned from the wise old Kaiser, sensing things were looking bad, and hastily find a sympathetic neutral country that would give him shelter.

I've no interest in a Sky account, is there a way of watching this otherwise?

Newshosting and other similar download sites can access most TV series and Movies, all in HD
Monthly or yearly fees apply, it's actually worth considering if you are a serious sofa-spud.
