Not seen this mentioned anywhere so thought I'd share for anyone else who enjoyed the first one.

Watched it the other night. Glad I waited until it was free as I didn't enjoy it much.

Really liked the first one but this was some sort of comedy, very odd.

Glad it wasn’t just me.

Yeah agreed. It wasn't anywhere near as good as the first film.

Same here. Loved the first. This was average at best.

I also started to convince myself it wasn’t even the same actor for the first 1/3rd. Had to google it. I know it’s been a while between them, but he looked, in my opinion, very different!!

I thought it was OK, but definitely not as good as the first one. It seemed like it was trying much harder to be funny with mixed success. The first one had a sort of weird charm about it and there were still flashes of that in 2, but for me the first one was a strange uneven film that somehow worked, possibly by accident, and it was always going to be difficult to make that happen again deliberately.

I thought this was dire. The first was great. This was a dogs dinner. Affleck didn’t seem interested. Beranthal the best thing in it. When the script arrives for something like this does the talent actually read it?

It has its moments but it was deeply inconsistent with the original in lots of ways. The relationship between the brothers worked I think but it looks like it was basically just a spec script for a film unrelated to the original and they adjusted it to fit by dropping the actors/characters into the closest role fits they could find.

Didn't think much of the way the autism centre got morphed into a gang of cyber criminals.

Admittedly 8 years have passed but Affleck has really noticably aged in the interim. Very little effort in the acting too.

I'll have to wait & see if he churns out more of the same but it had the feel & quality of one of Bruce Willis' later 'take the money, do minimal work' roles.
