Night Sky sc-fi series - an AMAZON RANT

Sorry. I've just come across this and on my days off I binged all 8 episodes. It started off slow, a real slow burner and it was lining up all the bits and pieces nicely. So. I googled wheres season 2? CANCELLED. Amazon didn't like it. They cancelled it. Argh. For the love of all that is precious.

What is the point of this being available to stream? Not so much that stuff was left hanging at the end - rather that, without a second series, none of it makes any sense at all. Complete waste of anyone's time watching.
