Why did he disappear from our screens? He was on/in everything and then suddenly he wasn't.

He spent quite a bit of time pursuing Lloyds Banking Group for considerable compensation after his business being a victim of fraud by the Reading branch of HBOS. The whole saga had a detrimental effect on his mental health and was compounded by prostate cancer.
And then, of course, famously saying the TV Licence is a crock won't have endeared him to the Beeb! laugh

He was in BBCs "Eight Go Rallying" in 2018. I enjoyed it.

If Miriam Margolyes and Ricky Tomlinson can present a travel programme, why not senior Edmonds, prerequisite for network travel presenters, eligibility for a bus pass for longer than ‘youtube’ has been around.

At least Edmonds has an interest in cars, and unlike the aforementioned two, is not a toxic old trout. I’ll give it a try, all else fails, there’s plenty of travel content on youtube.

Yeah i seem to remember a fair few years ago he had serious MH problems and appeared to go a bit 'off the rails'.

I am going to give this a go as i used to like watching him on all the chaos programmes he presented!

It's not a travel programme.

Exactly, it's more of a Clarkson's Farm ripoff.

The Rest Is Entertainment podcast did a potted history of Noel and review of his new series which is worth a watch.

Richard Osman gives a good insight into what Noel's like based on having previously worked with him and they also touch on how this programme is being pitched as a competitor to Clarkson's Farm.

I've just seen that he's 76 years old!!!!
If that's true he's got to be one of the best looking/well preserved 76 year old on the planet. If you didn't know him, he'd pass for someone in his fifties. Fair play to that man.

He has been living over here (NZ) for about 6 years, possibly longer. He has a place at the top of the South Island in a rural area known for orchards, dope, and hippies. Make of that what you will.

Someone died doing a stunt for his show in 86, so that probably had something to do with him vanishing from TV. Also didn't know he was one of the original presenters for Top Gear and had 2 GT40s.
