She filmed two episodes as well, before the producers decided she wasn't suitable for the part.

The town of no return was originally shot between 29 October to 13 November 1964 with Elizabeth Shepherd.

However, the producers decided that she was not right for the role and replaced her with Diana Rigg. The episode was re-shot sometime between 21 July and 30 July 1965

Im fairly sure that Del Boy was originally going to be Jim Broadbent (who of course appeared later as Raquel"s husband Roy Slater).

Hes still in quite a few shots that made it to the final film. They'd filmed quite a lot by the time he was replaced and for various reasons didn't always use the reshoot for the final edit.

Jennifer was recast at the same time as Marty as there was a big height difference once they swapped the leads.

Apocalypse Now - Harvey Keitel was replaced by Martin Sheen during production.

Army of the Dead - they hacked out Chris D'Elia to use Tig Notaro after it was finished.

All the Money in the World - reshot very late on to replace Kevin Spacey with Christopher Plummer

I read recently that Burt was the original choice to play Han Solo. He turned it down.

1977 was the year of Smokey & The Bandit, so Burt was a good looking guy at that time.
That written, whilst Reynolds is "only" six years older than Harrison Ford, the thought of him snogging Carrie Fisher is just creepy.
Yet boning Sally Field seems just fine - indeed admirable!

Die Hard: Contractually, Frank Sinatra had to be offered first refusal... a seventy year old John McClane yikes

Arnie & Sly turned the role down... those air conditioning ducts would have been a tight squeeze.

Michael J Fox was originally cast for the film but was persuaded to hire Eric Stolz due to the latter's performance in 'Mask'.

Another fun BTTF fact: Crispin Glover was supposed to be in Part 2 but fell out with Zemeckis.
