I see the Greens are demanding the Eurovision contest not be shown. This is one Green proposal I don't have too much of a problem with. But the question is, what should be shown instead that the Greens will hate even more?

A Clarkson/Hammond/May Top Gear episode?

Highlights of the Goodwood festival of speed?

Atlas shrugged?

I mean I imagine most green voters are type to get a semi for drags racing....

I'm no fan of Eurovision, but I am curious as to why they take this stance? I haven't heard that!

Do we really care what the Greens are 'demanding'?

Its equivalent to next doors budgie demanding something. Inconsequential smile

Ah of course, yes they are going down the cancelling route. Hopefully this helps make the greens even less popular

Hard left and far right are as bad as each other. All just terrible people. The rest of us don't define our thinking so binary fortunately.

Yeah the Greens are an obnoxious lot, I hate the way they work on the assumption that everyone agrees with them about banning cars.

I wouldn’t vote for them if my life depended on it and if they get the Eurovision song contest taken off the air in the UK they will ps off a LOT of people, many of whom are in their target demographic. They should be careful what they wish for.

Zarjaz’s Confession Corner: I like watching Eurovision. I’ll get me coat.

Seeing the title, I thought that I would indeed rather watch lettuce grow than watch Eurovision.

One of those trying to get people banned things going on. This whole site seems to have less braincells than it used to so must be working lol.

I guess this is going hand in hand with Ireland and The Netherlands threatening to boycot the whole thing if Israel are allowed to enter. I would imagine that there are a lot of people who can't handle Israel pretty much coming top in the public vote for the last two years so this is a good opportunity to put the plebs in their place.

I have to say I don’t understand why Israel are in it. Nothing to do with Gaza though, it’s just they aren’t very…European.

I feel the same about Australia. There’s probably others but I don’t pay enough attention.

Good thing the opinion of the Green Party matters not then.

Except that if the Eurovision Song Contest were replaced by, for example, tractor racing, the sum of human happiness would increase.
