paramount + now not working on my iPad

Have a slightly older iPad Air with the latest software it can take OS15.8

Paramount + opens then says newer app available but the App Store cannot update it as it requires OS16

So now I cannot access anything on the app

Tried deleting and re downloading but back to the same.

Seems the only option is a new iPad which is pissing me off, nothing wrong with what I have other than paramount not working.

Any suggestions please???
