I wasn’t a huge fan, but enjoyed it when I saw it - and there are two storylines/gags I half-remember, but I’m blowed if I can find the episodes they’re in, using Google, ChatGPT or Grok. Can the PH massive help? Or, am I secretly a comedy genius and I’ve made them up?!

First one, Victor has a problem with root infestation in his drains, and gets a company in to do a CCTV survey. At the same time, he also has bowel problems and has a colonoscopy. Guess what, the videotapes get mixed up, and much hilarity ensues.

Second one, Victor gets lost in a hospital, partly due to ongoing building works to fix some internal walls, and bumps into his neighbour Mr Swainey who’s on a bed in a corridor having just had a small procedure on his arrse, so Victor asks for directions. Before he answers, Mr Swainey starts talking about his operation being successful, then says “Can you see where they’ve taken the plaster off?”, so Victor gingerly lifts up Swainey’s gown to see. Of course, Mr S was talking about the builders and giving directions based on where they were working. V funny.

So, are you a OFITG superfan? Can you help please?

Maybe you dreamt it? A quick key word search of this doesn't turn up anything similar: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_One_Foot_in_...

Maybe you've made them up and should start writing comedies yourself.

Are they in Christmas specials? I've watched all the normal episodes fairly recently, except the Christmas specials, and I don't remember these gags.

Possibly Christmas specials from series 1 and series 5

I don't remember the former, but the latter is from series 5 - "Only a Story", where Mrs Warboys' flat floods and Victor has reflexology from what turns out to be a prosser. Mr Swainey is in the hospital having been circumcised when he asks Victor to "check the plaster".

That one is from an episode of Jonathan Creek called The Chequered Box. Brendan Baxter (Ade Edmondson) gets the colonoscopy and Carla mixes the tapes up with the drain survey.
