As per thread title.

I probably have a collection of almost a hundred, but only a few I would class as exceptional.

These include:-

The Cruel sea,

Sink the Bismarck,

Angels one five,

Operation Daybreak.

Carve her name with pride

Any more?

Where Eagles Dare. Not the action, but the convoluted plot 'explained' by Richard Burton's character.

The Dirty Dozen, Kelly' Heroes, The Guns of Navaronne, Force Ten from Navaronne, Where Eagles Dare, The Great Escape, The Hill...and I don't even like war films but they are all great movies in my opinion.

I think Valkyrie and Anthropoid will achieve greatness through time.

Clarkson's documentaries on PQ17, Victoria Cross winners and the St. Nazaire dry dock raid should be on this list.
