I thought I would give this a go, how bad could it be I decided after all the original was camp and fun..

Well, awful, truly, utterly and completely devoid of any merit at all. Don't get me wrong, I actually watched it all the way in the vain hope of there being something to consider it not a total and utter waste of time. But nope. Not a single redeeming feature.

You have been warned.

Back then we just went to see a film to have fun. If it was a bit scruffy with poor acting as long as it was fun, with some action and a reasonable story that was enough. Films like Red Sonja, Conan, BTinLC, and well pretty much and 80’s action film did not take themselves to seriously. It was only for the joy of entertaining.

Now we get all these deadly earnest remakes with character backstory and morality thrown in. It’s super uninteresting. Hard to care about the characters and just not that exciting.

So, just to be clear, you watched the whole of the rubbish, 21st Century, feminist Red Sonja to take one for the team and avoid the rest of us having to suffer it?

I had a hope it would improve. I was wrong.
