Conserve your ammo!

I’m watching some kind of zombie supernatural film (The Gorge). All I can ever think in action films when the main characters gets isolated / dropped in some hazardous area, is conserve your ammo! They’re running around firing at spiders and st, and are clearly gonna need their few remaining magazines for more important st soon!

Do directors do this to up the tension

I’m sure they can rush back to their car with the 72 speed gearbox to get more, or find a dead baddie using and carrying exactly the same magazines in abundance.

No need, they just load it with one of those never ending magazines that only the good guys get.

Always makes me chuckle in the Matrix, during the "rescue Morpheus" scene in the lobby. They dont reload, they just pull out more guns.
