Eurovision 2026
Discussion
Seems like a good time to launch PH's official Eurovision thread with the "appointment" of the UK's entry.

Look Mum No Computer
I subscribe to his Youtube channel, so obviously like his work with odd mechanical/electrical sound generators. Whatever he writes/produces will be interesting, but I also accept that the typical Radio 2 Eurovision audience will be somewhat nonplussed.
I hope that the stage show is just him, some of his synths and a bunch of patch cables creating the sound just like his live shows - warts and all!
I'm looking forward to the WTF from casual Eurovision watchers

Post a link to some of his work. I can’t be bothered to search YouTube for it. I hope that the stage show is just him, some of his synths and a bunch of patch cables creating the sound just like his live shows - warts and all!

So excited for this.
We are avid Eurovision fans and I think we will have a really strong entry with him.
We've been watching for 25 years now, some of the kids watch now too. The quality of entry seems to have little to do how well we do.We are avid Eurovision fans and I think we will have a really strong entry with him.
Regardless, we will no doubt be glued on the night.
I hadn't heard of LMNC before today. Having now watched a few of his YouTube vids, I'd say he's certainly very talented and I'm looking forward to hearing his song. A big pop-synth anthem from a chap in a boiler suit could go down very well in the arena.
I fear that this year's ESC will be overshadowed by the question of Israel's participation, though.

Not started well for them as over the weekend they announced the inaugural "Eurovision Tour" had been cancelled due to "unforseen circumstances".
Turns out those circumstances mainly relate to how much ££££ that they expected countries and venues to pay direct to EBU in order to host a tour date in their country, the countries that had already publically pulled out this year due to obvious reasons and taking their ££££ with them, even the basic tickets were described as massively overpriced and as a result mostly undersold, plus fans saying some of the acts that had been booked were "awful" or "scraping the barrel". Plus the most obvious being the fallout with regards to Israel, claims of rigged voting, etc.

I think he made a cylinder head for an Austin 7 on a manual milling machine, he can have my vote just for giving that a go.
And his latest video on his 'Look mum no engine' channel he is now the owner of a Rolls-Royce Meteor engine.tangerine_sedge said:

Oh, I missed thatLook Mum No Computer

It all feels a bit odd really. I wonder if no professional management were prepared to have anything to do with Eurovision given the potential fall-out with Israel etc. Of all people, they go for an autistic nerd (I mean, he may not be, but I'm pretty much one myself and know quite a few so...) who is sometimes a professional musician with various bands?
I guess no musician with an actual career wants anything to do with Eurovision because it may well kill their career, whereas LMNC will get a chunk of cash out of it to do his thing, and lots of advertising for his museum.
