I’ve been watching some old Top Gear lately.
In one series (5 or 6?) they were asking for votes for which car they should restore, a Royal connected Range Rover, a Lotus that James Dean ordered but never received, Keith Moon’s Buick, a famous Mini and a couple of others. It seems to me that it never went any further and was just forgotten about.
Does anyone have any further info?
Thanks.

The (spoiler alert) Mini won, but then it turned out the car they'd bought wasn't necessarily as authentic as they'd hoped, so it was never mentioned again.

There's more here: https://topgear.fandom.com/wiki/Restoration_Ripoff

Off topic, but last year I re-watched every episode of 2002-2015 run and it's still masterful TV. Particular highlight for me continues to be the DB9 vs train race, which I honestly think I could watch endlessly.

The Adams Probe was a friend of mines - it was restored a few years ago - I'm sure he still has it, I haven't spoken to him for a while, I think it went to Goodwood one year.
