Shockingly, the Israeli Defence Force have been identifying individuals who their AI systems assess to be likely hamas activists, based on education, age, religious attitudes etc, but then targeting those individuals with what they consider to be "acceptable levels of collateral civilian casualties". Incredibly (in my view), lower level hamas officials/activists are worthy of killing by bombing with thirty civilian deaths being acceptable, but high-ranking hamas operatives are deemed worthy of killing with 300 civilian casualties being acceptable.
Worrying, disgusting and shocking in equal amounts.
