"Live"performance of the Dylan Thomas classic
(With modern bits)
Don't think they had email back then.

Absolutely brilliant performance by all the actors. Michael Sheen who I have never heard of before is exceptional. How does he remember the whole script.

I watched the 1972 film of the poem featuring the likes of Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, Angharad Rees, Peter O Toole etc on TV probably near 50 years ago.
This was very different, set in an old peoples home, but it worked. I was transfixed for two hours, and thankfully, Sky didn't interrupt it with adverts, thank you Sky.

Fantastic, worth paying for Sky just for this.

I can, perhaps, understand that you've never heard of Michael Sheen, but I don't believe that you don't know how actors can remember scripts.

IMO It could do with someone with Sheen's energy to keep the pace up, otherwise it can be a bit weighty. Having said which, I've not seen him do it.

Out of copyright now so anyone can interpret it in their own way and without paying royalties. For me it will always be a 'play for voices'
