I hope that this is the correct page to ask this question on.
We want a new radio for use in the home kitchen, Radio 4 over breakfast etc, just an ordinary unit that plugs into the mains.
The one requirement is how the volume is adjusted. We want a radio where the volume is progressive (like turning a tap to increase flow) and not the one where you click and it goes up in preset stages.
Could I ask for recommendations for makes/models etc that are like this please as trying to get the information from advertising websites is not clear.
Many thanks
Brian.

If you don’t mind sourcing a used example, I would highly recommend a Roberts radio.

We have owned a Roberts RD-5 since new for the kitchen. The volume is progressive on this model, plus the build quality and sound is still excellent to this day.

Thanks .

What I find is that the dial is often for station search and then a + and - button for volume, just what I do not want.
I will have a closer look at Roberts.

Cheers
Brian.

I have this Roberts radio in the kitchen - I think it's what you're looking for.

It's expensive, but sounds lovely and looks good too. I am listening to it at this very moment.

Not a problem.

Have tried the new Roberts Revival mentioned in this thread which is good. Although, this has click increments for the volume rather than progressive.

Good selection at John Lewis, where you could try them...

Can't really beat Roberts - although pricey.
