New Amazon Prime Series coming November 2026, interestingly a few weeks after season 3 of The Rings of Power starts so a bit of competition for ratings.

I agree the two films are both in my top ten ever . The first film in my top 3.
Looking at the short teaser makes me absolutely and completely not want to watch it . It looks like ordering the same dish you had in a great Italian in Capri but in a restaurant in Colchester. It will always disappoint and serve to spoil a memory.

They've tried to recreate the look but it just doesn't have the effort in it?

Both the films have great cinematography and design - they look gorgeous even as a still frame - this doesn't. They're art, this is a photocopy.

Maybe it will be really good but I'm not seeing it yet.

Apparently it's a full drop of all 8 episodes at once. Doesn't sound like there's enough confidence in weekly releases keeping the viewing figures up so binge viewing it is.
