Sailing Melody Youtube Channel Very Sad News

I am sure a few of you will over the years have watched Sailing Melody and the 2 boats the family bought. It wasn't perhaps my favourite channel for content but I really liked Andy and his family and their videos were always played when they popped up. In June Andy had to be airlifted off the boat with a heart issue.

I have just seen a new video by Melissa his wife saying that Andy died a few days ago, no reason was given. Truly heartbreaking, he was quite the force of nature and a fantastic guitarist. We watched his family grow and take on all sorts of challenges.

I've watched them from very early on and like you, the content never really resonated with me (but I still watched most of it, occasionally wondering what on earth they were trying to achieve). But what a tragedy, leaving a wife and three children behind, two of them babies/toddlers IIRC. I suspect finances are pretty shaky given the various decisions made along the way so wish them all the best and hope Melissa and the kids manage to see their way through it. They've been hit with various family problems along the way and it goes to show you that being a YouTube creator can be very difficult indeed.
