Silent War - In the shadow of the atomic bomb - PBS America
Discussion
The testing of Atomic bombs by the USA, USSR, China.
Absolutely gobsmacked at the number of bombs tested since the 1950's. About one every couple of days at the peak and 2.5million people dead as a result through fallout. Countries selecting areas away from major populations , Bikini Atoll, Khasakhstan, the western plains etc but ignoring the indigenous people who have lived there for thousands of years. OK they evacuated Bikini Atoll but the fall out fell over the adjacent islands.
Then there were the soldiers sent into these radioactive areas to do tests cover up the fallout dust .
And now we have Russia, looking to regain countries lost in the break up of the USSR and the USA flexing it muscles in defence with China also ready to take Taiwan and other countries developing their own armaments , it's absolutely horrific what has gone on and what could happen.
It's always the leaders who instigate the problem and the innocent that suffer
