"The IT Crowd" now on E4
Discussion
If you can't laugh at yourself you're doomed. I've worked with some real nerd teams in my time.
I have to say at Nationwide we're one of the few teams, that I've worked with, that don't comform to the typical IT stereotype. We have two triathletes, a marathon runner, an guy who spends most of the winter doing extreme snow sports. A lot of us do like Buffy though.

I'm all for comedy and taking the mick out of ones self, fab concept. What let it down for me was the distinct lack of comic timing, on screen chemistry of the characters (i.e. the lack of it), abysmal acting (very hammed up) and really poor dialogue.
Compare it to something like The Office (slightly different concept I know), the IT Crowd has a distinct lack of heart and soul.

I'm an IT bod, and after many years I'd finally convinced my users that "turning it off and on again" was a valid first step at troubleshooting most problems. The IT Crowd has set me back years; I'm a figure of fun once again. I did find it mildly amusing though.
Oh yeah, and Buffy
. Didn't realise it was viewing for nerds though.

So in summary it's pretty much spot on to real life then

That's what I thought. I was convinced it was a documentary of my IT dept when I first saw it.

Agreed - she's surprisingly yummy, and love the show.
Is it cos we is ginger and she is ginger?
I suppose it's possible - some form of subconscious ginger alliance being formed. However, I normally tend to avoid fellow Daywalkers as potential partners - just imagine the concentrated gingerness off the ensuing offspring.
