Watched both of these over the weekend, what a fantastic pair of films.

Planet Terror is way ahead of Death proof though, non-obvious use of CGI (apart from the leg), the missing reel section was quite clever, and Tarantinos part as the guard/attempted rapist was truly grotesque.

They're good films, but I found it the other way round - I prefered Deathproof over PT.

I absolutely cannot wait to see Planet Terror - now you've posted this I'll have to order myself the dvd from the States.

Death Proof not so much. Tarantino seems to have got a bit "talky" lately.

Aye, Death Proof was more talking, Planet Terror was just a stupid, senseless Zombie flick with some rather nicely done action scenes.

I lost interest in these when I heard they were splitting them up and not showing them back to back as was originaly conceived.

Anyone know if they will be out on DVD together or will the UK try to maximize profit by making us buy 2 seperate DVDS

The copy I saw of Planet Terror had the spoof trailers before it - and Grindhouse was a single feature.

Planet Terror is an awesome OTT brainless action flick. Deathproof was a let down however; endless dull pointless dialog with a great chase scene at the end

I preferred Death Proof, purely because Planet Terror was a bit 'cheap'. I know it was meant to be, but it was noway near as good as Deathproof. Zoe Bell is a corker!

Watched my Planet Terror dvd last night: enjoyed it, but actually could have done without the fake scratches and rubbish.

Missing reel was good idea though.

And Rose McGowan never ceases to be fiery hot!

I watched DeathProof last night. I so wanted to love it. But it just never worked for me. Some great scenes, loved the links back to other films, but just never quite got the point of it?

Planet Terror was horribly toooooooooooo long
Death proof was far better..In my Humble and yet Correct opinion)
Death Proof unlike Planet Terror had
1)Good Lines
2)Good Back and fourth Dialogue
3)The Shot where Kurt Russle looked straight into the camera and smiled
4)Mopars
4)4 Hot chicks

Planet Terror
1)Longer
2)Zombies
3)Not enough of Rose McGowan
4)No good lines
5)all the dialogue was plot driven, all of it was functional not interesting

6)Jeff Fahey
7)ing Bruce Willis!

No, three:

8)Quentin Tarantino's giblets falling out through his bellend.

Same here, he over-did the self-important dialogue that makes Tarantino films, but the chases and gore were excellent.

I hated Deathproof. I hated the pointless chit chat about absolute bullshit. Still, nice cars!
Kurt Russell was wasted on this film.

Only seen Death Proof so far, and really like it, some of the characterization is a little over-long though. Kurt Russell was awesome and I can't believe they used the Challenger out of Vanishing Point FFS!!
I loved the way it was old school with proper stunts and proper driving, no CGI rubbish. I really think the critics have been too harsh on this. Can't wait to watch Planet Terror!

Saw them both together with all the spoof trailers like it was originally intended.

The first time I watched them, I loved them both, but when I watched them again with my wife I realised how dull Death Proof is. Its just a load of not particularly good dialogue leading up to a really good car chase. Its only other redeeming feature was Zoe Bell :-)
