There was rumour of HBO doing a British Airborne series to accompany Band of Brothers...
Now that would be magnificent!
Quite a few deleted scences from BOB.Including battle scenes with british Airborne. One of the most over looked deleted scenes from a film is from Saving Private Ryan.A whole 25 minutes was cut of an Ambush scene in which the main cast are travelling in a Jeep and trailer on there way to find Ryan. The ensueing battle displayed some of the most graphic battle scenes in the film.Matching those of the opening landing sequence. The entire cut was given over to the scene showing the main cast walking across the fields and an introduction in to there characters. This was the reason given to the cut.As the battle didnt portary who the individual characters were. There is eveidence still in the film of the cut in question. In the scene where Capt Miller recruits Uppam to the squad,as the Camera pans away from the beachhead you can clearly see the main cast leaving in a Jeep and trailer. The scene than cuts to them walking across the field. Now that would be magnificent!
