I found the window into Ben's final years truly tragically moving, almost sad as the film reached its predestined conclusion.

The Telegraph said:
Heroin addict Ben Rogers spent the last two years of his life recording a video diary. Robert Collins reports on the result.
...
Ben spent the last two years of his life filming his family and his own drug-taking extensively. It is this footage that provides the raw material of award-winning filmmaker Olly Lambert’s unflinching film about him – and makes it a unique piece of television. No British documentary has ever got as close to a drug addict – because the sufferers themselves don’t normally record their own tragedy.
Did anyone else catch this?...

My second resurrection of the day!
Saw this film for the first time on Sky3 last night. Found it deeply moving and very depressing. Both Ben and his family frustrated and seemingly powerless to stop the drug ruining all their lives.
also saw this, they should string up the bSaw this film for the first time on Sky3 last night. Found it deeply moving and very depressing. Both Ben and his family frustrated and seemingly powerless to stop the drug ruining all their lives.

I saw this and it was definitely moving, but felt it was holding a lot back, such as how Ben became addicted in the first place.
Not only that, but once again it missed out the crucial information that a lot of the direct physical damage caused be using illegal heroin is caused by the crap it's cut with, rather than the drug itself. For instance, I believe it is cut/mixed with citric acid to make it more soluable, and it's the citric acid that causes collapsed veins with repeated use.
As I understand it there are morphine addicts from WWII who have been proscribed morphine for decades with no obvious ill effects other than prolonging their addiction?
