Bond - Quantum of Solace - parts were unwatchable!

Anyone else think that the editing of the action sequences was just as bad as the second Bourne movie? Now I like my action movies being exciting, but what's exciting about the camera cutting so fast you can't work out what the hell is going on?!

Casino Royale was in a different league. It was about the only bond film in the last 30 years that was a genuinely good film in its own right irrespective of the franchise. Quantum of Solace on the other hand ... oh dear.I thought it was just me! Both with that and even more with the Bourne stuff, I ended up not watching the chase scenes at the cinema, because they were actually making me feel nauseous!
This isn't helped by the fact that we need to sit about 3 rows from the screen because of my wife's eyesight, but even so, the film should at least be watchable from anywhere in the cinema.

te.Thought the Casino Royale was very good (with the exception of just happening to have the defib in the car outside...! 
) but as it was some time before QoS was released I had forgotten a few of the plot lines and the pace so fast that I missed half of it. I left the cinema feeling rather flat.
But, I recently watched both of the Craig Bond films back to back and they make far more sense the second time around - i recommend doing it. I actually get the plot now and think QoS makes a fine story if you treat the two films as part a) and b). Hopefully if a third film is made it will be a new plot.

Wow, this is so funny. My wife, friends, and I have had this conversation a few times.
The camera style in the bourne movies was actually annoying...it took us out of the movie. We were ANNOYED by the cinematography. I don't remember it being as annoying in the Bond movie. I will be picking it up tomorrow on DVD so I will have to check that out.
I don't know who thinks that by being all herky-jerky that it will add realism or enjoyment to the movie, but please STOP!

Interestingly, my brain seemed to start to catch up with the pace slightly - I watched the Aston car chase again, straight after finishing the film, and it wasn't quite as bad, but still I did feel a bit dizzy! Over all I did enjoy the film though.
They should have a look at The Spy Who Loved Me for the proper way to film a car chase.
