Should be half decent...

"Churchill's Darkest Decision

In the summer of 1940 Nazi Germany was poised to seize the entire French fleet, making Hitler's threat to invade Britain a real possibility. Winston Churchill was faced with a difficult choice - either rely on the French government to withhold the ships from the enemy, or destroy them himself. This documentary explores the events that influenced the prime minister's decision to sink the fleet, and the outcome of his actions"

The question is was it a truly difficult decision.

Anybody watch it last night?

That man had the biggest balls ever.

The fact he was Prime Minister for only a few days when he made the decision and went into Parliament fully expecting to get torn apart was amazing also. I can't see our popularity obsessed politicians doing anything like that now a days.

Whether the French fleet would have been taken by the Germans or not will never be answered but he certainly showed Roosevelt he, and therefore the UK weren't for messing with.
