Friends and family advert

Bloke from My Family rings his Dad and says 'I've got some news', parents get excited. His girlfriend rings some people, they get all excited. But I can't figure out what the news is! Are we supposed to lip read? Or is the actual news irrelevant? The ad is on every 10 mins on the car crash channels and I'm getting curious.

Personally I can't stand those bloody adverts and have to turn over when they come on (yes, I know, calm down Andy, calm down....)

Cynical and piss-poor effort to exploit/repeat the success of the Gold Blend style soap opera adverts IMO.

Grrr etc.
