By dropping an aircraft carrier on it.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3Wucar1vxQ

And then you rip off the downing of the Hidenburg but with the Vatican..

And then you have the whole of California falling into the sea..

Then for some bizarre reason you have John Cusack driving a car out of the back of a plane..

This looks like a totally, totally stupid movie, the kind where you just there waiting for the next special effect set piece. But it should be a fun evening out. And how the hell is it going to end? Just with a black screen?

I watched the trailer earlier and it does look like a pile of ste! From the same lot that bought us The Day After Tomorrow so you know straight away what it's going to be like.

"Hey, I've got a great idea guys!"

What is it, Mr Emmerich....?

"It's the best of my two famous but similar films!..."

"What about Independence Day Vs The Day After Tomorrow"

No Roland, you have done that twice already. You know, huge destruction of cities, American landmarks and stuff...

"OK, what about a sequel - The Day After Tomorrow 2..."

No Roland. That's wk. You can't call it that you tt.

"OK. 2012 it is then. Now get my my product placement and McDonalds tie-in and at least one half decent actor to sell out..."

So another CGI world disaster movie from Roland Emmerich?.........How almost semi-interesting.

They mentioned human race survival and plane evacuation. Are they going to be tricking all the insurance agents, TV producers, management consultants, marketing executives, hair dressers and telephone sanitisers to all go in one of them?

Other than being about the end of the world (again), what is it about?

Probably a good film to get pissed to...

So all he's done is combined Independance Day and The Day After Tomorrow? How is it possible for a film about the end of America Civilisation to look so dull?

rofl

After watching that trailer (and guffawing all the way through) I think I will give it a miss.

The funniest bit though was all the priests in the church praying, then the church fell on them - WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW MWAHAHAHAH? hehe

If they want to make a proper 'end of the world' film they should make Greg Bear's Forge of God. Stunning book needing a director who knows what they are doing though, not just one who wants to make an hour and a half of CGI wk fest explosions.

You won't be able to get in and see it though since it'll be a 12 certificate.

Well for a take-your-brain-out-and-leave-it-at-home night at the cinema, I thought that trailer looked pretty good. Awesome CGI.
