Anyone any experience using them?

I quite like the idea.

Have you used them for console games as well?

Does it work?

Going to pick up a ps3 saturday and lovefilm may be a way of getting Max use from it.

Your views please ?

I've been on the 2 DVD/Games a month for £3.90 and its worked really well over the last year. I've only used it for DVD's and Blu Ray but guess games work the same.

All managed online, posted to your door, prepaid return envelope so nice and easy.

Some say discs have been scratched but I only had a problem with one and that only needed a clean.

There are some offers about to try it for free if you haven't found them.

I know someone who has been a member for a while now and loves it.

Have been considering joining myself, but the problem is I don't know when I'd get time to actually watch the films...laugh

I've been on a free trial for the last 3 months. The turnaround has been very good and I've had no problems with scratched discs (Blurays mostly). The trial's up tomorrow, and we'll be going ahead with the paid-for service.

Been very pleased with the service. Had one scratche dvd that wouldn't play, but reported it online and they gave me a replacement and two bonus rentals on top of my normal allowance by way of compensation! They even dispatched the replacement before I returned the faulty one.

I have used them for about 6 months.. It is hard to get the most popular films, but if you choose about 25 films you want to watch it worked well for me..Never had a problem good turnaround..

We like them. Had the free trial, now on the cheapest tariff possible as we simply cannot watch movies much faster. Easy to do, only one dodgy disk so far (The Zohan excepted, but that wasn't a physical fault hehe)

I was buying '24' boxsets until the price doubled. So thought I would try out lovefilm to get them instead.

Works well, always a quick turnaround and the price seems ok. Theres always free trials about so try one of them a get a few discs to see what you think.

The odd disc does seem to be a bit too scratched sometimes though.

i used the service for about a year, i had ditched sky movies and figured this was a better way forward. i reckon for some folks it does work well, discs were turned round fast, they were cool about 1 that went missing in post and i think i had 1 duff disc which was a pity as it was halfway through the film! ultimately i cancelled. i started off watching films and turning them round quite fast, then the missus decided to move 1-2 that were left out ready for viewing and the turn around from me got slower. then realised that i'd had 1 for about 2.5mths - not that cost effective under thgose circs!!

Put all the old films as low priority and the new releases as high. This is how I get all the latest films straight away.

Used them for a while, but never ended up with time to watch the films, so binned it.

+1

I have actually had a few new releases on the weekend, Monday or Tuesday after release.

I think the algorithm they use to work out fairness looks at how you are prioritising titles. If you only ever have a couple on high priority they definitely get looked at first.

I am a big film buff but could never be bothered to go to Blockbuster. Secondly they only ever had about 20 Blurays.

To see the blu-ray films I am watching would be costing be £15 a time, 8 or 10 times a month.

We have used them for Wii games and films for almost a year.
No major issues, except sometimes they appear to hold on to returns for an extra day, before sending the next film. This means that we sometimes get one set a week instead of 2.
In that time we have had 2 "lost" discs, which they simply added back onto the wish list and sent the claim to the Post Office.
When on holiday they will "suspend" membership, so you aren't always paying. 2 weeks annual leave for example means the bill that month is £7.50 instead of £14.99 smile
We also had some 3 month free trials for friends and family, as opposed to the standard 2 weeks smile

I'd avoided them for a while but have been sucked in with a 3-month free trial from a friend.

I'm on 2 discs at a time and have been rattling through films pretty quickly, probably 4 a week. Their turn around time is very quick.

I'll probably stick with them after the trial because it saves on having to go and get films from blockbuster.
