Why is it that even though I funded a program shown on the BBC with my licence fee, I have to pay to get it on DVD? And the cost of said DVD is much more than what it must cost to actually make the thing.

Some of the BBC's DVD's are produced by their commercial partners (the same bods who flog top gear etc round the planet)

If they gave them away for free, everyone would be paying for them via increased licence fees.

Do you really want to pay for great Aunt Mable to have the box set of Are You Being Served? Or people with no brains to have 'My Family' on DVD?

Or would you rather just pay for what you want, if you want it?
