Best Genre , Best Film

As per title , who likes what

For me it's comedy, and because I can't think of one better at the moment , Dumb and Dumber stands out for me as a really laugh out loud film , if I think of a better one I'll edit this later ,


so what's yours ?

fave genre is mystery or thrillers.

fave film in this genre is THE USUAL SUSPECTS but there are so many good ones.

i love watching films where its not always obvious what will happen at the end, which is prob why mysteries are my fave.

I like Cops n' Robbers films, and although there's many good ones Heat is my favourite.

Action is probably my second favourite , I was pleasantly surprised when I watched Taken recently , wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was

Ah-Nuld was a great action hero. Hell, I even like Jingle All the Way.

Mystery- Usual Suspects is a great film with a compelling story. Unbreakable is good in an obscure way too.

Comedy - A little known gem called Major Payne is a personal favourite from childhood. Zoolander is also excellent, I could probably quote the entire movie.

Favourite all time movie - Robocop, its just soo cool! Perfectly acted by Peter Weller as a cyborg coming to terms with who he is. The way he moves in the suit is brilliant, you get a real sense of weight. "Dead or alive, you're coming with me"

I have a thing for Sports films - Seabiscuit, Tin Cup, Rollerball, Rocky, Le Mans, Kingpin etc...

Can't think of many I don't like.

Favourite is probably The Colour of Money

Predator's good, but Die Hard's best.


Thriller = Se7en.

Endlessly twisted and scary and awesome.


Horror = Evil Dead.

Although right this minute, today, I think it might be Martyrs.

Commando would be a far better film if the bad guy wasnt some chubby tt in a chainmail vest. Predator wins purely because the Predator kills a load of people single handedly only for Ah-Nuld to lather up in mud and battle it mano e mano.
