The prisoner 2009
Discussion
I have just seen a sneak peak at an extended trailer for the US "re-imagining" of the classic Prisoner TV show. I have attached a linky so you can take a look if you are interested.

After an initial "this looks a bit too much like lost" feeling, it actullay looks as though it could be OK. It certainly has a decent cast for a mini series.
I look forward to November

Now that looks pretty good. And if I'm not mistaken that was Patrick McGoohan as the scruffy, bedraggled "Old Man" in the cave towards the beginning. A bit lost, a bit Truman Show.
Ian McKellen doing, his evil side again, looks like Jason Isaacs'/Boys from Brazil dad.
Looks worth a watch, and it doesn't look like it'll run out of budget as the first one, and of course, this means it's climax doesn't have to follow the trippy ending of the first.
A remake better than the original?
Actually if it has a different ending, story, but based on the same premise, do we call it a "reboot" or a reimagining?

Of course if you were a rival TV network what you could do is do something very, very similar to create a conflict in scheduling.
Oh look, someone already has;

Written by the same bloke who did Usual Suspects. Could be good, certainly looks very intense.
