Tell me about Bernard Fox

I am watching an old classic sitcom from the 60s and noticed one of my favorite recurring characters, Bernard Fox, a Welshmen I believe. He is a fixture to many like me who were kids in the 60s and enjoyed comedy. Is he as known on your side of the pond or is he one of those actors more popular overseas than nearer home?

Yes, he certainly was. I guess he is more known here than at home.

Certainly a familar face. One of those actors that you know you have seen but can't quite place.
