fking hell..... I thought that 'Sona' in Prison Break was using a bit of dramatic licence seems that it's actually fairly tame compared to the real thing.

These South American prisons are insane, the guards just patrol the outside to make sure no-one gets out, what goes on inside is controlled by the prisoners.

Shocking and captivating viewing, I bet if Prisons were run like this in the U.K people would think twice about comitting crimes.... although half of the inmates would probably be people done for speeding (they are the worst criminals you know).
